Mink and I crushed it trolling Florida City's offshore waters!
What a day on the water! Mink and I headed out early morning this summer for some serious offshore fishing around Florida City. The partly cloudy skies kept things comfortable while we cruised the flats toward Central Railway waters. Perfect conditions for what turned into a solid day of fishing.
With lines in the water, we focused on trolling the deeper sections before switching to bottom fishing and jigging when we found the right structure. Florida City's offshore waters are perfect for this kind of versatile approach - the variety of depths and structure lets you work different techniques until you find what's producing. We didn't stick a trophy on this run, but every cast and minute on the water was worth it. The bite was hot enough to keep us busy, and we wrapped up with great memories from our time in gator country.
